As someone with an auto-immune, I feel it’s my responsibility to buy safe for me. With that said, I source a lot of my sewing supplies via estate/garage sales. I have a sensitive nose, especially allergic to cat & dog dander. I won’t buy at all if there is any smoke smell, no to cats urine. The supplies I use could have come in contact with those allergens. It is now up to the buyer to decide to continue. My no. 1 trigger is chemicals (fabreeze!), especially in new products, which is why I buy used/old. Because I screen my supplies, this policy is listed here, not in every listing. Years of selling online has enabled me to be very forthright. Note: Oct 2020 new dog in household living areas.

Proceeds help support several local charities: Project Linus quilts ( 100% cotton fabrics), local 4-H sewing group (sewing notions, fabrics), etc.

You might have noticed a few airplanes in my shop. My husband and I have owned several airplanes and I might like airplanes a lot.

Custom and personalized orders

I would love to create something unique just for you. Most custom orders will ship out before two weeks. The only thing holding me back is the day job or supplies taking longer to source. I value communication.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Please let me know if this will be a gift. I'm happy to write and include a personal note from you and will gift wrap in tissue and ribbons.

I've had this store since 2009 and felt it was time to separate out my handmade pretties from awesome vintage sewing supplies.

Why is shipping so much on multiple orders?

Buying multiples always makes a hash of shipping $. Even though I post each item with its weight, buying multiple items seems to stump etsy.

Email me ( the shipping queen) and I will fix your shipping. I just had a gal buying 6 items = $26 shipping! I changed it to free shipping on her order. (hint: she also sent me a screenshot of her cart to make it easier on me).

Do you combine shipping?

Yes, I do. Any shipping overages above $2 are refunded.

Please note that I only charge the published rate, and by using flat rate envelopes, I can ship many items for the one rate, so perhaps order with friends and combine the costs to save!

Rush service is available for a small surcharge, and upgrades to Fed Ex or overnight shipping are available as well. I am always willing to work with you whenever possible to meet your needs. Please convo BEFORE ordering if time is of the essence, and I will do my best to accommodate requests.

Can I see your cart?

No. Whatever you place in your shipping cart is private. However, snap a screenshot of it if you have questions - usually regarding shipping amounts.
I'm available to give you a shipping estimate if I know what you're interested in.

Do I own an airplane?

Yes. I would love to design something around your plane, even if your plane is only a dream.

What does free shipping mean?

All orders over $50.00 qualify for free shipping. This means the least expensive way I can send your item(s). Typically, this is USPS First class mail. I drop packages at the post office six days a week.

Etsy's glitch of offering free Express upgrades will not happen unless you pay for the upgrade (starting at $32.00 in (2019).

Can you make more or use a different fabric?

Absolutely. Yes, I can make more, if I still have fabric remaining.
I can make multiples, all the same or in different colorways.
